Walking through a winter like a frozen man stuck in an ice age
Feeling like a thaw was one million light years away
You came along, a bird with a sweeter song
That blew the frost all away
Like the first day of spring, come in on a wing
The sky opened up just to say
Lead don’t follow trust your steps and soon tomorrow
Find your way to laughter through the tears
Years of celebration and moments of sorrow
You got to earn them all, don’t borrow
You got to lead, don’t follow
You got to lead, don’t follow
Always been another way, the blueprint was only made to be broken
If you start feeling luck calling everyone else’s name
That you’ll never be chosen
Destiny is intention, build your invention
Create the world you wanna live all around you
There’s a nothing holding you back whatever you may lack
Light the fuse and let it go
Lead don’t follow trust your steps and soon tomorrow
Find your way to laughter through the tears
Days of celebration and moments of sorrow
You’ve got to earn them all, don’t borrow
You got to lead, don’t follow
You got to lead, don’t follow
You got to lead, don’t follow
You got to lead, don’t follow
Lead don’t follow trust your steps and soon tomorrow
Find your way to the laughter through the tears
Days of celebration and your moments of sorrow
Got to earn them all, don’t borrow
You got to lead, don’t follow
You got to lead, don’t follow
You got to lead, don’t follow
You got to lead, don’t follow
